Types of Verification You May See

Depending on the application you are completing, the workflow may include one or more of the following steps.

Identity Verification

You may be asked to verify your identity by:

  • Uploading a government-issued ID

  • Completing a short face verification or selfie scan

This helps confirm that the person submitting the application is the correct individual.

Financial Verification

Some applications require verification of financial information. This may include:

  • Securely connecting a bank account

  • Uploading bank statements or financial documents

This information helps businesses review financial activity when evaluating an application.

Credit Authorization

In some cases, you may be asked to provide consent for a credit check. This allows the business reviewing your application to access information from a credit bureau.

You will always be asked for authorization before a credit check is performed.

What If I Don’t Want to Complete Verification?

Verification is often required for the business to review your application. If the required steps are not completed, the application may not be able to move forward.
